A colored-chalk-on-paper drawing by Austrian-born painter, Vilma Eckl.
Eckl worked primarily in watercolor at the outset of her career. She later transitioned to oil painting, but it was her discovery of charcoal and colored chalk that truly defined her expression. These materials enabled Eckl to use spontaneous gestures to capture her subjects in motion.

1940’s, Austria.
24.25”H × 17.25”W × 1.25”D framed
