A rare and striking, late 19th Century hand-stitched Navajo quilt. The cross is a traditional Navajo symbol of the Spider Woman, who taught Navajo women to make yarn from sheep’s wool, to dye it, and weave. In very good, vibrant condition and free of tears and frays. There is some very minor, scattered dislocation.
