“In 1902 Elena Luksch-Mukowsky became the first woman to exhibit with the Vienna Secessionist movement, which had been founded five years earlier by Gustav Klimt, Kolo Moser, and Max Kurzweil, among others. She was the only female artist to be granted a monogram by the group. Luksch-Mukowsky exhibited with the Vienna Secession while also working for the Wiener Werkstätte until she left Vienna in 1905. “
