A rare, Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) polished and ebonized walnut match striker, circa 1890, inlaid with marquetry work in copper, pewter, bone. A scalloped match holder sits above the emery board strike. In very good original condition with some age related marks throughout. The brass ring on the reverse is fixed for hanging.
