A rare, Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) ebonized walnut match strike, circa 1890, inlaid with marquetry work in copper, pewter, bone. A scalloped match-box shelf sits above the textured strike. In very good original condition with some age related marks throughout. The brass ring on the reverse is fixed for hanging.
